Almost all of us know what it is to have sore muscles after resuming an exercise regimen or participate in strenuous physical activity. Some consumers who responded with a painkiller or what is known as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). But potentially serious side effects of NSAIDs led some of these individuals to explore herbal ingredients such as boswellia, white willow bark, turmeric, maritime pine bark and omega-3 fatty acids that are scientifically proven to reduce work against pain and inflammation in the body.
But when it comes to pain and sore muscles after a high-intensity activity, a new study suggests that vitamin D potentially a key to help muscles recover quickly nutrient.
Why muscle pain occurs?
Scientists are not sure why the pain 8-24 hours after a workout or strenuous muscle activity. Some believe that the effort of the muscles causes microscopic tears in the connective tissues and muscles. These tiny tears eventually produce inflammation that causes pain in the form of stiffness and pain. It's own healing the body and the most remarkable result is that these muscles become stronger than before. The next time you exercise, your muscles are not as likely to break as easily.
Vitamin D can help muscle recovery after intense training
Researchers at Kyung Hee University and the Korea Training Center in South Korea Taenueng in laboratory animals at high intensity exercise NOC. They found an increase in muscle damage known biomarkers, namely, the enzyme creatine kinase (CK) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH). Animals receiving vitamin D supplements showed a weakening of these biomarkers.
The animals were divided into three groups. The first group had a sedentary life; the second group was put on a rigorous exercise. In addition to exercise, the third group received a supplement of vitamin D (1,000 IU / kg body weight). After 8 weeks, the animals involved in high intensity exercise without vitamin D supplementation showed increased activity of CK and LDH. This decrease in activity, and other biological markers of inflammation, when animals were given vitamin D.
The researchers also showed that the protein expression of the vitamin D receptor (VDR) increased in animals involved in high intensity exercise and supplemented with vitamin D. The team concluded, "Vitamin D may play a key role in muscle damage induced by exercise and modulation of inflammation (involving) VDR. "
More Benefits of Vitamin D
Until the last decade, all we knew about vitamin D are related to bone health. However, recent research shows that vitamin D is required for regulation of various physiological functions hormone. Vitamin D has been shown to have significant effects, protection against many diseases of the bones, muscle weakness, multiple sclerosis, type 1 diabetes and multiple internal cancers. Studies show that optimal levels of vitamin D should stay fetal development to old age. Whileoptimal levels for all ages are needed, recent studies show that vitamin D deficiency is much more than expected. According to a publication of Harvard University, nearly 1 billion people worldwide lack of vitamin D. Even the levels of industrialized countries, doctors are seeing a resurgence of rickets and other diseases of bone weakening .
Offer your customers more vitamin D for overall health and muscle recovery
As a business owner looking for supplements to meet the health needs of consumers in the market for high quality vitamin D is necessary to collaborate with renowned manufacturers of nutritional supplements that complement the production set in a GMP certified and are able to offer a variety of internal services such as label design, packaging, processing orders and drop shipping. Popular methods for delivery of supplemental vitamin D to treat muscle pain include capsules, tablets and powders, so be sure to decide which of their customers prefer before speaking with a manufacturer of supplements.
